Creating New Business Models from Digital Supply Chains Transformation

Webinar

Description

The recent white paper ‘Unlocking Business Model Innovation through Advanced Manufacturing’, published by the World Economic Forum, highlights three main stages of organisational transformation towards new business models; Stage 1 - Point solutions; Stage 2 – End-to-end digital infrastructure and integration; Stage 3 – New business models.

In this webinar, one of the co-authors of the paper, Dr Jag Srai, will discuss why many companies are stuck at the initial stage, where technology is generally applied to boost factory productivity and step-changes in the efficiency of manufacturing operations. He will highlight some of the challenges organisations face in progressing to stages 2 & 3, exploring what some leading companies have done to overcome them. Jag will also share insights from his research on digital supply chain transformation strategies and potential market and productivity traps if investments are misaligned.

You will then find out about practical tools and frameworks that are being used by some of the world’s leading companies, including IKEA, Grundfos, Schneider Electric and Unilever, to guide their digital supply chains transformation.
